Are there platform fees for gifts processed through DonorDock online donation forms?

No. DonorDock does not charge a platform fee for gifts received through online donations. Online Gifts are processed securely via PayPal or Stripe, and their normal credit card fees apply - (typically 2.2% +  .30 cents)

How does the integration with Paypal or Stripe work?

DonorDock online giving pages and forms integrate with Paypal and Stripe to process credit card gifts. When you receive a gift through your DonorDock form, that donation will be reflected in your Stripe or PayPal account, and will automatically be tracked in DonorDock.

The Stripe and Paypal integrations sync gifts received in the future. During your onboarding, we can also help you import past gifts from Paypal or Stripe to ensure they're in your new system.

What is Zapier, and how does it work with DonorDock?

Zapier is a tool that makes it easy to connect thousands of tools together, including DonorDock. Many of the tools you use are already linkable to DonorDock via Zapier. Zapier is a free tool, with premium subscription options available for those that need advanced features.

Your DonorDock subscription includes access to the DonorDock Zapier connector, allowing you to link up data between tools. If you're not yet a DonorDock user, and would like to learn more about the Zapier integration, contact the sales team, or sign up for a demo.

How easy is it to switch to DonorDock from our current system?

How does DonorDock work to reduce the risk of data loss?

  • All data is stored in a discreet cloud database (each DonorDock customer has their own database, no database sharing or co-mingled data).
  • DonorDock data centers maintain compliance certification for the PCI, HIPAA, SOC and FedRamp frameworks.
  • DonorDock employs redundancy in our cloud infrastructure to allow for maximum uptime. If the need arises, DonorDock does have the capability to roll our     systems to another data center with minimal downtime.
  • DonorDock has established a disaster recovery plan to recover from various disaster scenarios.
  • DonorDock uses continuous point-in-time replication to a different data center. All backups are retained for a rolling seven days.
What does DonorDock do to ensure application security?

  • DonorDock is encrypted with TLS.
  • DonorDock requires HTTPS / TLS connections for all resources, including the CRM application and giving pages.
  • All DonorDock applications are housed in a PCI, HIPAA, SOC and FedRamp compliant data center.
  • Passwords are hashed and cannot be viewed by anyone, including DonorDock employees.
  • All changes to the software are peer code reviewed. In addition, DonorDock employs various QA practices for testing prior to deployment.
  • All giving pages leverage Captcha technology to stop fraudulent activity.
Are the donation pages or forms compatible with our website?

Yes. DonorDock donation pages are compatible with any website. and can be embedded as "in page" forms on most websites. Common compatible platforms include Wordpress, Wix, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Godaddy, Webflow, Drupal, Weebly, and more. Linking DonorDock giving pages to your website does not require special technical skills, and during your onboarding, we'll share resources and help to link online giving to your website easily.

Yes! When you sign up for DonorDock, you'll get access to a variety of in-person resources, written guides, and videos, as well as live support.

The cost of getting set up varies by plan, with additional options available based on your specific needs. We've designed DonorDock to be intuitive and easy to use, but we also understand that learning a any new software tool can be complex.

The setup fee cost covers the support you need to get up and running quickly and some necessary technical setup, including help with emails, data migration, general orientation, and more.

Additional training and consulting is also available for those who are interested, though most organizations find that they don't require additional help beyond what is included.

Do I have to sign a long term contract?

No. You can cancel at any time (and export all your data) if you find that DonorDock isn't right for your organization. And you won't be charged for an additional term beyond what you've already paid for, or incur any cancelation fees. More than 99% of organizations renew their subscription each year.

DonorDock also offers a 90 day money back guarantee - if for any reason you discover DonorDock is not a good fit in the first 90 days, we'll give you all your money back.

What if I’m not sure how many emails I need, or my needs change throughout the year?

We recommend starting with the Essentials plan. If you need more than 10,000 emails per month you can upgrade to Professional or Enterprise at any time.

Can I cancel, upgrade, or downgrade at any time?

Yes. You can manage your subscription within DonorDock, including cancelling at any time.

If you ever decide that DonorDock is not the best platform for your organization, simple click the cancel button in the application. You’ll be able to export your data before you go.

What payment methods do you accept?

DonorDock accepts all major credit and debit cards. Need to pay a different way? Contact us and we'll be happy to work something out.

DonorDock uses an automated billing system and can be billed monthly or annually. When activating the product you can choose your billing option. You will be billed on the same day of each month if you choose monthly, or the same date the next year if you choose annually. You can view your billing history and change your credit card on file at anytime within DonorDock.

How do integrations work?

Yes. If you'd like to try DonorDock before you purchase, you can request a free trial, or just contact us and ask. No credit card required.

We don’t have a credit card within our organization. Are there any other options for payment?

While we prefer our automated credit-card based billing, we do have the option of invoicing you. With the invoicing option we only invoice annually and your subscription will be activated upon receipt of your payment. You will automatically be invoiced the following year, unless you cancel prior to the renewal date. All invoices are due upon receipt.

Am I limited to a certain number of contacts, or does my price change as I add more contacts?

No. Every pricing plan offers unlimited contacts, and your cost wont grow over time as you add new contacts.

Is DonorDock available on mobile devices?

Yes. You can easily access a mobile friendly version of DonorDock on iPhone and Android devices. No need to download an app, just visit donordock.com from any mobile device.

Can DonorDock replace our email marketing tool, like Mailchimp or Constant Contact?

Maybe. Whether DonorDock can replace your nonprofit's email marketing subscription depends on what features you need.

DonorDock can create, send and schedule bulk emails to marketing lists in DonorDock (as well as 1 to 1 emails to individuals). It does not include advanced email marketing features like drip campaigns, and behavior based targeting. For organizations seeking a simple way to send emails to their contacts, DonorDock can often work as a replacement. Learn more about all of DonorDock's email marketing features.

What payment processors does DonorDock support for online giving?

Currently DonorDock supports Stripe and PayPal for online giving with built-in integrations for both tools.

Online gifts processed through Square can also be accepted via a Zapier integration between DonorDock and Square.
